{"id":3967,"date":"2025-06-20T18:45:18","date_gmt":"2025-06-20T18:45:18","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.developeternal.com\/?p=3967"},"modified":"2025-06-20T20:29:26","modified_gmt":"2025-06-20T20:29:26","slug":"brics-launches-ambitious-development-drive-putin","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/www.developeternal.com\/index.php\/2025\/06\/20\/brics-launches-ambitious-development-drive-putin\/","title":{"rendered":"BRICS launches ambitious development drive \u2013 Putin"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>The economic bloc is rolling out joint projects in energy, aerospace and AI, the Russian president has told SPIEF<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>BRICS countries have launched large\u2011scale joint projects in nuclear power, aviation, AI and other sectors, Russian President Vladimir Putin has said.<\/p>\n<p>The economic group is <em>\u201csetting the bar in the development of so-called human-centric industries,\u201d<\/em> Putin noted, speaking on Friday at the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum.<\/p>\n<p>The group is mobilizing <em>\u201cmajor projects to improve the living environment\u201d<\/em> and <em>\u201cimplementing large-scale initiatives in nuclear energy and aviation, in the field of new materials and the IT industry, in robotics and artificial intelligence,\u201d<\/em> the Russian president said.<\/p>\n<p>BRICS was initially established in 2006 by Brazil, Russia, India, and China, with South Africa joining in 2010. In 2024, the bloc extended full membership to Iran, Egypt, Ethiopia, the United Arab Emirates, and, later, Indonesia.
