The country\u2019s nuclear watchdog reports no leaks or contamination at the targeted sites<\/strong><\/p>\n <\/strong> Iran has accused the United States of violating international law and the Non-Proliferation Treaty (NPT) with its overnight strikes on key nuclear facilities, while assuring the public that no radioactive contamination has been detected at the targeted sites.<\/p>\n In an official statement released early Sunday, the Atomic Energy Organization of Iran (AEOI) confirmed that US airstrikes hit its nuclear sites at Fordow, Natanz, and Isfahan at dawn, calling the operation an illegal and \u201cbrutal\u201d<\/em> act.\u00a0Iranian authorities criticized Washington for publicly claiming responsibility for the attacks on sites that had been operating under the supervision of international inspectors.<\/p>\n \u201cThis act\u2026 was unfortunately carried out in the shadow of indifference and even with the support of the International Atomic Energy Agency,\u201d<\/em> the statement claimed.<\/p>\n \n A separate statement from Iran\u2019s Center for the National Nuclear Safety System confirmed that emergency inspections had been conducted at all three sites.<\/p>\n \u201cNo signs of contamination have been recorded,\u201d<\/em> the center said, adding that there is \u201cno danger to the residents living around the aforementioned sites.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n
